Zistgah is a habitat, not a platform. It is an ecology of small, independent, inspectable things: a ground to stand on, ways of making, machinery for thinking, laboratories for real domains, and a written record. Take any one of them and use it on its own. Nothing here needs the rest, and nothing here needs you to sign up.
Most of what gets built for this moment asks you to move in: one account, one platform, one company's idea of how thinking should go. A habitat is the opposite. You should be able to take the part you need, run it on a laptop with the network unplugged, read exactly what it does, and rebuild it differently if you disagree.
So every component here is sovereign. It carries its own contract, states plainly what it does not do, and refuses to pretend. Where something is unknown it says “not established” rather than filling in a plausible number.
Read. 47 components publish a page you can open in a browser with nothing installed.
Cite. 26 carry a DOI, so they can be referenced in work of your own.
Run. Clone any repository. Each one states what it needs and what it refuses to do.
Contribute. Work is broken into packages, each with a command that decides whether it is done. Take one.
Zistgah is a habitat. These are the grounds it stands on: earth, water, air and the turning sky, each built as its own component.
Six cyclers, classified by what comes out rather than what goes in. Each one refuses something the others allow, because a diary is not a film.
Language, learning, realization and orchestration. Independent of each other and of everything above.
A domain satisfies a small set of invariants and then authors everything else itself. Each comes with a reproducible lab, hardware through applications.
A person should be able to compute in their own language and their own script, not in a translation of someone else's. This is the machinery for it.
Books and plate corpora. Read them in the browser; the deposited ones carry a DOI you can cite.
Nothing here is asserted without a way to check it. These are the components that do the checking.
Deposited, timestamped and citable. 26 of 85 components carry a DOI; the rest are live and not yet deposited.
55 components are live and carry no DOI. That is a list, not an apology: depositing is a deliberate act, and a DOI is a dated public disclosure.
The full estate across zistgah, project-ilm, read from the forge itself rather than from anyone's memory of it. Nothing on this page is asserted that the walk did not find.
3 named component(s) were not found on this walk and are left out rather than linked to nothing.
Checked against the forge. 20 of an AI assistant's claims about this estate held, 12 did not, 23 could not be judged, and 36 components here were unknown to it. The reconciliation is published, so no account of this estate has to be taken on trust.
